Getting Started
Do I need an account to use Lumen?
No. You can start using Lumen immediately after downloading. An optional account lets you sync your progress across devices.
How do I set my daily reminder?
Open Lumen, tap the settings icon, and choose "Daily reminder." Pick a time that works for you. You’ll receive a gentle notification to begin your reflection.
What Bible translation does Lumen use?
Lumen uses a widely read English translation. You can change the translation in Settings if your preferred version is available.
Using the App
How does the candle mascot work?
Your candle grows with consistency. As you complete daily readings and reflections, it reflects your streak. It’s there to encourage you, not pressure you—it stays gentle even if you miss a day.
Can I use Lumen offline?
Yes. Once you’ve loaded your daily content, you can read and reflect without an internet connection.
How do I reduce distractions?
Lumen is designed to be minimal. You can enable Focus Mode in Settings to hide nonessential elements during your quiet time.
Account & Data
How do I restore my progress?
If you signed in with an account, your progress syncs automatically. Reinstall the app, sign in with the same account, and your data will restore.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. This removes your data from our servers. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Technical Issues
The app won’t open or keeps crashing
Try closing Lumen completely and reopening it. If the issue continues, ensure your device is updated to the latest iOS version. Uninstalling and reinstalling may help—your data will sync back if you’re signed in.
My reminder isn’t appearing
Check that notifications are enabled for Lumen in your device Settings. Also confirm that Do Not Disturb or Focus modes aren’t blocking notifications.
